Take your hot tub with you - Portable hot tubs | Spa Hot Tubs

Portable Hot Tubs

A hot tub that is already put together and is supposed to sit above ground is usually called a portable hot tub. It can also be known as a portable spa. The many sizes available for purchase and the choice of features (like sound systems) is great. While some of the portable hot tubs may only weigh a fraction of what the big tubs weight, they are fairly easy to set up, normally plugging into a home outlet. The larger portable hot tubs can sometimes weigh thousands of pounds. These types will require a more extensive source of energy and cannot be installed overnight.

The most chosen model of portable hot tub is the lightest one. This is because when most people think of a “portable” hot tub, they want the accessibility that they provide versus the typical larger model. The larger models are normally chosen by people who have a large number of people in their family, entertain a lot, or plan to entertain a lot.

If you have arthritis, or if you do not, the National Arthritis Foundation, U.S. says the use of a spa on a daily basis will help you by improving your range of motion, flexibility of muscles, and management of pain for those with arthritis (or for that matter, anyone).

The type of hot tub you want to buy when considering the purchase is one of the two-a tub with hard sides or a tub made of fiberglass. Did you know there are actually blow-up hot tubs? As you can imagine, they are not worth the money you would pay for them. The only reason to even think about buying one of these is if you wanted to take it camping, being such a hot tub enthusiast.

When installing a hard sided hot tub, do the side pieces first. These are transported apart because it makes it easier. The time you will spend putting these sides together will be the gist of the installation along with the liner. Many people use the portable tubs in side in basements and such.

The fiberglass type of tubs are no better than having a fancy bathtub. They are not as large as the hard sided ones and they are already together when you purchase them.

The main things you want to take into consideration if you are thinking of buying a hot tub is the price and if you plan on moving in the near future. The number one reason for purchasing a portable hot tub is the price followed by whether they move very often. The main thing you need to think about is portable items are not as strong as permanent ones. Compare for instance, a tent and a full sized house. The same is true for hot tubs. They are not the strongest if you want a good hot tub.

If you move around a lot or you cannot afford the expensive type, but still want the relaxation benefits of having a hot tub, buy a portable one. Just do not expect it to be as good as the more expensive types.
