Physical Therapy Spas Hot Tubs

More and more people are utilizing hot tubs and spas as a means of physical therapy. Some do so as recommended by their physician, while others take it upon themselves to try this method of recovery.

This type of physical therapy or hydrotherapy as it is more commonly referred to is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable therapies available. It also is wonderful for relieving the stresses, of the day.

Hydrotherapy is recommended for ailments such as multiple sclerosis, spinal disease, joint pain, back pain and tennis elbow. Individuals, who have been injured as a result of an automobile accident or job-related incident, often find relief participating in this type of therapy.

(Surprisingly, back pain is the number two reason for office calls, in the United States. The number one reason is the flu.)

Hot tub users who have undergone knee or hip replacement surgery have also reported positive results, after only a few therapy sessions. Even sessions as short as ten to 15 minutes are beneficial, when scheduled on a regular basis.

It is always best to consult a physician, before starting a physical therapy regiment. Nine times out of ten, doctor approval is quite easy to obtain.
