When looking for chemicals for you hot tub I recommend a local supplier I have found you do not always get what you pay for when it comes to hot tub chlorine and other chemicals. When you deal with a good local supplier of these chemicals you can get first hand instruction for there use. I have a great local dealer every time I go in I take a water sample with me they can run a multitude of test and recommend exactly what I need to keep my spa sparkling clear and safe.
Generally speaking you will either use a chlorine base for your Spa or a bromine base. There are a multitude of other chemicals that you may or may not need depending on the condition of your water. Some areas will have low ph and other places will have an elevated ph. everyone will need either chlorine or bromine, anti-foam and a shock treatment to keep there spa clean and free of bacteria.
Be sure to read and understand the handling instruction supplied with your chemicals it is a good idea to ear gloves and eye protection when handling these chemicals. Always dispose of these chemicals properly.
